The DeepSea Mining Alliance is an association which:
- Has several members in the consortium, which have already been involved with the Atlantis II project when it first kicked off 40 years ago.
- Stands for comprehensive and continuous implementation of all national and international guidelines (mining codes) and environmental requirements for future deep-sea mining projects at the highest level.
- Offers through its members the responsible development of sustainable and innovative technologies for the entire deep-sea mining value chain.
- Initiates commercial deep-sea mining projects operated by German, European and/or global consortia.
- Is active in cooperation and exchange of views with the International Seabed Authority (ISA) and NGOs.
- Increases public relations and media dialogue to inform the public actively and efficiently.
